“Mrs. Laureen is an absolute godsend! She started with us when my daughter was a year old and continued with us until she was two and a half. Mrs. Laureen was the first person to detect undiagnosed tongue and lip ties in my daughter. After my daughter’s frenectomy, Mrs. Laureen gave us invaluable information and strategies to help my daughter learn proper oral motor function. Once we got that dialed in, Mrs. Laureen was the first person to suggest that my daughter might have sensory processing difficulties. This was game-changing! Since then, it’s become abundantly clear that my daughter does, in fact, have Sensory Processing Disorder. Because Mrs. Laureen was so perceptive, helpful, and willing to advocate from the start, my daughter got additional early interventions from a young age, and she is tremendously better off for it! During our time with her, Mrs. Laureen provided us with top-notch therapy in eating and in sensory integration. I will be the first to say that my daughter was a challenging client. She is very strong-willed; we like to refer to her as our “tiny boss, future leader.” Through all of the willfulness and drama, Mrs. Laureen always met her with unwavering patience, grace, kindness, and optimism. Each week, she provided my daughter with activities that were personalized to her needs and interests. She worked incredibly hard to make therapy engaging and fun! She also skillfully negotiated the fine line of pushing my daughter out of her comfort zone enough to grow without causing her to shut down and become dysregualted. In addition to all of this, Mrs. Laureen provided me with enough information, resources, and practical tools to use at home that I’m pretty sure I’m close to a certification in occupational therapy. She empowered me with the knowledge and language that I needed to become a successful advocate for my daughter. Mrs. Laureen helped us lay the foundation that we desperately needed, and because of her, my daughter has continued to thrive! We will always be grateful beyond words for Mrs. Laureen, her heart, and her passion.”

“Laureen went above and beyond to support us during an extremely challenging and stressful time post lip- and tongue-tie revision for my newborn daughter. She always made time to provide support in person and/or over text/phone calls. She was responsive to and supportive of my concerns and decisions during our therapy process. It was clear that Laureen really connected with and cared about my daughter and her success, as well as me as a new mama in a fresh postpartum state. Laureen demonstrated superb clinical skills with evaluating and treating my daughter’s oral motor weakness and dysfunction. I appreciated her ability to implement quick changes when needed with exercises/supports/bottle types to keep my daughter’s progress constant. Her parent coaching helped me feel confident about my ability to feed my daughter outside of our therapy sessions. Laureen was essential in my daughter’s success with bottle feeding and ultimately set us up for a smooth and fun transition to solid foods. I am extremely grateful to Laureen for all of her help and I highly recommend her as an occupational therapist!”

“Laureen was essential to my daughter’s ability to meeting her milestones. Laureen started helping my daughter at 4 months old with feeding therapy. My daughter was born with low muscle tone because of her syndrome. It affected her ability to suck initially and with Laureen’s help, she advanced quickly! Throughout the next 6 years, Laureen has helped with core exercises to help with sitting, puzzles, exercises with scissors ✂️, buttons, shoe tying, coloring, shapes, and hand writing. (To name a few) Over the years, we have always been impressed with both Laureen’s knowledge and her professionalism with our daughter. You would be lucky to have her helping with your child!”

Words cannot express how grateful my wife and I are for the remarkable impact Laureen has had on Remi's eating issues.
Unfortunately at a young age Remi was struggling to eat solids. The tiniest amount of food would cause him to gag and vomit. From the moment we met Laureen, it was evident that she was going to make a significant impact on Remi’s development.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Laureen's approach is her unwavering patience. She understands that progress takes time, and she never rushed or pushed Remi beyond his comfort level. Laureen's patience has instilled a sense of confidence in Remi, allowing him to gradually overcome his fears and anxieties surrounding food. She has also provided us with invaluable strategies, tips, and tools to implement at home, ensuring that Remi's progress extends beyond the therapy sessions.
I cannot recommend Laureen Franklin highly enough as a therapist. Her passion, care, and patience have been instrumental in helping Remi overcome his anxieties around eating. We are not quite where we want to be but Remi’s progress has been tremendous.
Laureen has made a lasting impact on Remi's life, and we are eternally grateful for her expertise and compassion. Laureen is a true gem, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have her as Remi's feeding therapist.”

“After some disappointing experiences with other occupational therapists, my family searched for an OT capable of treating my 9 month old son’s complex medical needs. At that time, he was unable to independently lift his head, open his abducted hands, and ingest anything by mouth. Over the next 7 years, Laureen created a specialized, comprehensive program that focused on developing gross motor, fine motor, and oral motor skills through in-clinic and at-home exercises and activities. Laureen’s extensive knowledge, wide-ranging experience, and empathetic nature made her the perfect therapist for our son. Her caring nature, professionalism, and dedication poured into every aspect of his therapy program. Either by recommending appropriate exercises and toys to encourage development, specific oral motor tools and activities to address limitations, or medical equipment for support, Laureen’s practical approach provided a wide range of care that as a parent was easy to implement at home. Because of Laureen, my son can now independently sit, roll, cross-midline stretch, and pull himself to an assisted stand. He has full hand dexterity and independently feeds himself pureed foods. Our son’s medical team is blown away by his development, defying their early prognoses. The team credits Laureen’s methods to his exceptional strength and grip, excellent oral health, and his ability to safely swallow, reducing the risk of aspiration. Our son would not be the strong, independent, capable boy that he is today without Laureen!”
