Thriving Littles is an out-of-network provider and does not bill directly to insurance. We accept private pay and are able to accept credit cards, FSA and HSA cards.
Laureen is also a vendor through San Diego Regional Center for early intervention (Vendor#: PY2868).
Insurances often limit our ability to fully support families and we do not believe insurance should dictate the frequency or quality of services your child receives.
We would be happy to provide the necessary paperwork to take back to your insurance company for potential reimbursement as an out of network provider. Please inquire about a “superbill” you can submit to insurance.

To simplify, feeding therapy helps the infant/child learn to eat or how to eat better. Feeding therapy assesses the underlying causes for feeding difficulties, limited diets, poor nutrition, and picky eating. We provide targeted techniques to treat these concerns in your home. As pediatric feeding therapists, we work with children and their families to make mealtimes less stressful and improve your child’s skills during mealtimes (breast, bottle, or at the table) so they are successful, safe, and confident around any food.

Don’t worry if you don’t see your city listed here! As long as you are within California we can provide feeding therapy services to you and your family through teletherapy. Unfortunately, due to our professional licensing, we cannot offer teletherapy services outside of California at this time.

Well-intentioned doctor’s often do not recommend services for a child who is thriving with weight and growth. Often times, a family has learned to pivot and adjust to support their child’s steady growth by compensating (ie: eating in front of a screen, waking to eat throughout the night, supplementation with milk/purees/Pediasure, snacking throughout the day).
Parents are amazing at supporting their children. Please reach out to a feeding therapist and trust your concerns, rather than waiting.
Early intervention proves to be the most beneficial since the child is able to catch up once the problem is addressed.

Yes. An assessment prior to the release establishes a baseline of oral function in order to know what changes from the release and what we must improve. Oral work prior to the release will also help get your infant use to touch in his/her mouth, will help prepare the muscles and begins teaching of new motor patterns, helps reduce tension in oral structures and body to achieve best release, and helps reduces stress for baby and family.
